Housatonic / Naugatuck River update

20.20

Today was trip 2 of 2, yesterdays trip was out into the L.I. Sound just to get a feel of being out on the open water but also included a pass along the Charles E Wheeler marsh.

I was sad to see the amount of trash in the marsh, and it would have been impossible to do anything about it. Todays trip though was a completely different matter...

With really nice weather comes loads and loads of litter from all forms of human life, and today was no exception. I had a feeling I'd be filling up the Walden Sport Tandem, but had no idea that it would be this insane. Of course the passerbys on the greenway were enraged by my work, but then again - what else is new??

I took several images - but they appear to be lost now. One thing for sure is I'm going back to print film photography. It's fool proof - and everlasting...

By the end of todays trip - I completely ran out of room and had filled two 45 gal trash liners to the top.

I thought about Charles, and AC, Sunshine Sparrow and Walkenhawk. They are the only ones I know who really care about my work - and provide much needed inspiration when there is none...

Honestly,I feel as I am becoming burned out wih my eco work. It never ends, and the debris I moved today will be back tomorrow - and I now wonder just how much of an impact I even make...

Does what I do even matter ??

Today, I honestly no longer know...
